Bay County, Florida is located in the Florida Panhandle. Aside from speeding tickets, the police in Bay County issued almost 3,000 citations for careless driving and running a red light.
All law enforcement agencies in the county have zero tolerance on DUI drivers. Almost 1,000 people are arrested annually for DUI. Most of these arrests were conducted by the local law enforcement officers. Almost 5,000 of the 8,000 criminal citations written were for driver license issues. This is consistent with earlier statistics that show almost 1/3 of all drivers are under some sort of suspension or revocation.
