Desoto County Traffic Ticket Attorneys

Desoto County Courthouse, 115 Oak Street, Arcadia, Florida 34266Desoto County Florida is located in a rural section of Florida about 50 miles east of Bradenton in Manatee County Florida.  With a population approaching 35,000, the county seat is located in Arcadia.  Arcadia is also the location of the Desoto County Courthouse, State Attorney, and the Clerk of Court.  Desoto county has one county Judge, Don T. Hall, and one Circuit Court Judge, James Parker.  Given the size of the county and the recent budget cuts, Desoto County Florida does not have a hearing officer.  That means that the county Judge is responsible for all traffic ticket hearings, including those that are 30 over the posted speed limit.  Many individuals are just passing through the county from the east to the west coast when they get pulled over for a moving violation in Desoto County Florida.

Our attorney have practiced in Desoto County for years and we are very familiar with the Judges and the State Attorneys.  We are familiar with the Florida Highway Patrol Troopers, Desoto County Sheriffs Department, and Arcadia Police officers. Desoto County is part of the twelfth judicial circuit that makes up Manatee and Sarasota counties.

According to recent statistics, there were over 4500 moving citations issued in the county.  Of those, almost 3400 were for unlawful speed.  In addition, over 1100 citations were issued for criminal traffic violations.  Almost 800 of the 1100 total were for no valid driver's license or driving while license suspended or revoked.
