Holmes County

 Holmes County Florida is located in the Florida panhandle.  The county is relatively small with a recent popultion just shy of 20,000.   The main law enforcement agency in the county is the Holmes County Sheriffs Office and they are assisted by the Florida Highway Patrol.  Both agencies are known to jump on Interstate 10 in an attempt to pull over motorists traveresing the state.

All law enforcement in Holmes County Flordia issued just over 3,100 civil moving violations last year.  A majority of the citations were written by the Flordia Highway Patrol for unlawful speed.  Aside from unlawful speed citations, 100 citations were written for careless driving citations.  Many of these citations were issues following the investigation of traffic crashes.  Aside from civil infractions, law enforcement in Holmes County issued close to 400 criminal citations.  A majority of these were issued for motorists who were cited for driving while license suspended or driving without a valid driver's license.

There is one Judge assigned to Holmes County, Owen Powell.  There is one Circuit Judge assigned to Holmes County, Allen Register.
