Florida drivers not wearing their seat belts can expect a little more attention from law enforcement starting Monday. The state’s “ Click It or Ticket” campaign kicks off to start March and more traffic tickets in Florida are going to be written for seat belt violations. Some agencies will set up checkpoints for seat belt violations according to TBO.com.
Pasco County sheriffs, Dade City Police and Zephyrhills Police are all joining the Florida Highway Patrol in looking extra hard for seat belt violators and then issuing those drivers traffic citations. Dade City Police issued a press release stressing that they will be searching for people driving without a seat belt. According to the story young children who are not buckled in will also be a focus of the operation.
