FSU Police Department Joins Campaign To Ticket Drivers In Leon County For Seatbelt Violations

In Tallahassee the Florida State Police department is jumping on to the bandwagon when it comes to the state-wide “Click It or Ticket” campaign. The campaign kicked off March 1 and is designed to increase the enforcement of seat belt violations by writing traffic tickets in Florida. Writing traffic citations in Leon County for seatbelt violations will be a goal of the FSUPD during the month of March.

The FSU police department will write traffic tickets in Tallahassee if drivers are driving without seatbelts because Police Chief David Perry firmly believes seat belts save lives. According to an article in Chipley, Florida the increased, high-visibility enforcement for seat belt violations will get Florida drivers, especially in Leon County and at Florida State, to buckle up.
