Gilchrist County Traffic Ticket Attorneys

 Gilchrist County Florida is located west of Gainesville Florida.  The county is mainly rural.  The Gilchrist County Sheriffs Office is the primarily law enforcement agency and is assisted by the Florida Highway Patrol and the City of Trenton Police Department.  In Gilchrist County there were over 2000 non-criminal moving citation issued in 2007.  Of those violations over 1400 were issued for unlawful speed.  The Florida Highway Patrol issued 676 speeding tickets in the county.  Given the size of the Gilchrist County Sheriffs Office there were 51 DUI arrests and over 250 criminal citations written.

Gilchrist County is part of the eighth judicial circuit which comprises Alachua, Bradford, Baker, Levy, and Union Counties.  Judge Edward Philman is the only County Judge and he listens to all misdemeanor and traffic infraction cases.  He has been sitting on the county court bench since 1989.   Circuit Court Judge David Glant is assigned to Levy and Gilchrist County and he has been serving on the Circuit Court bench since 2003.
